About Me
About Massage
“I strongly believe that massage work can improve the body’s natural healing capabilities and my focus is on the prevention and rehabilitation of injury, as well as improving overall well being”
Anne first obtained her US National Massage license in 2003 while living in Flagstaff, Arizona. She worked at the US Olympic High Altitude Training Centre, focusing on deep tissue and sports massage for swimmers, cyclists and runners from around the world. She was also massage therapist for the Canadian National Team at the 2004 World Mountain Bike Championships in Switzerland.
Returning to Canada, she then graduated from a 2500-hr. program in Ottawa in 2007, where she received extensive education in soft-tissue assessment and treatment. She is trained in myofascial release, trigger-point work, sports massage, joint mobilizations, myofascial cupping, Kinesiotaping, pregnancy and post-natal massage.
Anne moved back to the Bow Valley in 2008, where she continues to work with a wide variety of clients, including amateur and professional athletes. Anne favours a collaborative approach to each client’s welfare and helps people gain awareness of their muscular imbalances, often including home-based exercises in her treatment plans.
She is a long-time mountain biker, having raced as a pro in the North American downhill circuit for several years and broken numerous body parts to prove it! She is also an avid telemark and skate skier and enjoys nothing more than to backcountry ski in this spectacular part of the world.
She welcomes all past and new clients to her new home office location.
